Requiem: Reichskinder

Requiem:Reichskinder Requiem: Reichskinder is a larp game for 31 players from the Rolling association. It is inspired by the period immediately after World War II, which it depicts in the form of an atmospheric horror story set in an institution for problematic youth. Requiem: Reichskinder takes place approximately in the second half of 1945, but the game is not and does not attempt to be historical. Players have the opportunity to experience the game either as a Czech-German youth with a troubled or criminal past, held in a Czechoslovak re-education institution, or, conversely, in the roles of the staff of this Institute. The main themes of the game are personal integrity, values, guilt, and repentance.
The game gives players the opportunity to experience life in the depressing environment of a re-education Institute for young people and, at the same time, to live through a personal story of uprooting, searching for one's own identity, and coming to terms with one's own past. Our goal is to shed light on the complex fates of people in the gray zone between Czech and German nationality, between the position of accomplices and victims — young people whose lives were changed by the war and whose suffering did not end with it.
It is played in an old military hospital in Terezín. The game is handled with maximum piety and respect because of it’s topic and venue, and one of the side goals of the game is maintaining and opening for public this old rather forgotten building.Signup is open until January 26th. More detailed information about the project is provided in the new DESIGN DOCUMENT which we recommend you read.
